Wider Community
The school has had significant links with the local community for over a century.
Groups of girls go to Portesbury School in Camberley, which is a school for children with learning difficulties. They help with practical activities at lunchtime including art, computing and games. The girls also host a Christmas party for the children and this year they entertained them at an Easter lunch.
Each year the girls organise St Nicholas Stalls, which is the school's major fundraising event for the wider community. In recent years over £10,000 has been raised annually for a wide range of charities.
Today, girls visit senior citizens at St David’s House at Ascot Priory. We also have a link with St Saviour's Priory in the East End of London. Some confirmation groups have visited the Priory for confirmation retreats.
Our sports facilities are used on a regular basis by swimming clubs, a dance school and schools needing squash courts. The local churches use the sports hall and grounds for their annual summer fair.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme encourages girls to be involved in community service projects in the wider community.
