Summer School

Summer School provides an education of the same high standard as the main school.

The course is regularly inspected by the British Council and is accredited as a centre for the teaching of English as a Second Language.

Each year we welcome girls aged 8 to 17 from over 20 different countries.

Many students return for three, four or even five summers. Some go on to become student assistants, a few of whom have been with us for over 10 years!

Students enjoy a well-balanced programme which comprises 20 English lessons per week in the mornings and an exciting range of sports and activities in the afternoons and evenings.

Three weekly excursions are included in the course. To help girls settle in and make friends, they are all assigned, on arrival, to a House - a group of girls of different nationalities and ages.

Together they put on dance and drama shows or take part in Inter-House sports competitions; these events are extremely popular and help girls to mix with each other.
