PE Curriculum

We aim to develop the girls’ sporting skills, improve their physical fitness and encourage a life-long approach to healthy living.

A range of sports is offered in a competitive capacity. We currently train teams for lacrosse, netball, swimming, athletics, tennis, rounders and polo.

Girls enjoy unlimited access to a wide range of facilities including:
• Well equipped sports hall
• Six lane, 25m indoor heated swimming pool
• Two squash courts
• Dance studio
• Fitness suite
• Two lacrosse pitches
• Six tennis/netball courts
• 300m athletics track
• Field events throwing area (discus, javelin and shot)
• Three pitches for rounders



Forms I to III / Years 7 to 9 

Girls follow a balanced curriculum, which includes the following sports: lacrosse, netball, swimming, health related exercise, dance, gymnastics, athletics, tennis and rounders. They also have the opportunity to take part in squash, volleyball, basketball, trampolining, badminton and fitness training.



Form IV to Upper VI Form / Years 10 to 13  

In the senior school, the girls are offered more and more options as they progress through the school. A variety of choices include, but are not limited to, lacrosse, life support/Bronze Medallion, tennis, pilates, trampolining, golf lessons, basketball, tae kwon do, ice skating and skiing.



GCSE

We follow the AQA Physical Education GCSE which aims to develop the girls’ ability to plan, perform and evaluate physical activities, as well as provide knowledge and understanding of factors relating to performance, health, participation and safety in sport.
