Music
Music plays a large part in the school. Many of the girls learn to play one or more musical instruments or have singing lessons. All standard orchestral instruments are offered alongside guitar, drums, singing and piano lessons.
Girls are encouraged to participate in a variety of musical ensembles within the school and there are regular opportunities to perform in both formal and informal settings throughout the school year.
The choir has an extremely high reputation and, as well as leading the chapel music, it performs regularly at home and abroad. Recent overseas visits have included Rome, where the choir sang at St Peter’s and was invited to return for a papal audience; Prague, where they were one of the few foreign choirs invited to sing the main Sunday mass at St Vitus’ Cathedral; and New York.
