Latin and Classics
The aim of the department is to foster a sense of curiosity about the origins of our own language and other modern languages and also to gain knowledge of the ancient world and an understanding of its continuing influence on our lives today.
There is a weekly Greek club for girls in any year who are interested in learning classical Greek.
Forms I to III / Years 7 to 9
All girls study Latin with the exception of those who join the school in Form III / Year 9 with no previous knowledge of the language.
