Ethos
The small size of the school, the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the pastoral care all help to create a very special ethos.
Everything is done to create a home-from-home environment and to nurture each individual girl's talents and abilities; all contributions to the community are recognised and each girl is made to feel accepted and valued. Rules and guidelines are enforced with firmness and kindness and with careful thought for the individual needs and circumstances of each girl.
The friendships that develop between girls of all ages last for a lifetime and there is a strong sense of mutual support and care. Girls’ continued contact with academic and pastoral staff well after they have left the school are a testament to the supportive environment we offer.
