Accommodation
The boarding arrangements vary between Lower VI and Upper VI Form. Whilst many Lower VI Form girls have rooms near to the year group that they are attached to, Upper VI Form live in the Bungalow, the Sixth form complex.
The Bungalow is separate from the main school and many girls regard this as one of the best aspects of life in the Sixth Form. It provides spacious, comfortable living accommodation where you can feel more relaxed and be more independent.
Each room has its own network connection and working area. There are many steep learning curves as you learn to fend for yourself; washing and ironing as well as preparing breakfast and supper are important life skills that are quickly learnt! At the beginning of Upper VI Form / Year 13 a series of survival cookery lessons are provided.
Dr Wickson, the Upper VI Form Head of House and Mrs Anita Diaz, Housemistress, are both resident staff in the Bungalow.
In 2009 a new Sixth Form accommodation block is planned to house both Lower VI and Upper VI Form. Each study bedroom will have its own en suite bathroom. There will be numerous social spaces to relax and socialise in as well as kitchen and laundry areas.
